I created a new free web app – Many Hands Task Tracker

I like simple tools that do one thing well.

Most of the time when I am organizing something with other people, it looks like this

  • A group text that starts as a simple question and turns into a novel
  • A random spreadsheet link that only half the people can find
  • A bunch of “I can help with whatever” replies that sound nice but do not help you fill actual jobs

So I built a small web app to fix that. It is called Many Hands Task Tracker, and it is now live at https://www.manyhands.app

The short version

You create a task list, share one link, and people pick what they want to help with. No accounts for volunteers, no passwords, no ads, and it is completely free.

Why I built it

More and more I was helping coordinate things where you need several people to pitch in

  • Cleanup days
  • Meal trains
  • Moving help
  • Church or congregation projects
  • Kids events and sports teams
  • Work projects that need real ownership instead of “someone should do this”

The pattern was always the same. Someone would send out a big list in a text or email, and then everyone would reply with partial answers. Nobody knew what was still open. Reminders were manual. People would show up with three trays of cookies and no one to handle cleanup (not that three trays of cookies are a bad thing 🤣).

Many Hands is my attempt to make that less painful. If you ever find yourself juggling group texts, spreadsheets, and “who is doing what again” for even small events, give it a try.

Head over to https://www.manyhands.app/, create a task list, send the link to a few people, and see if it makes life a little easier the next time you need many hands to make light work. 👍
